This is the hidden jewel of Birmingham’s parks - for walking, running, enjoying the open air or a range of outdoor activities from having a picnic or exercising your dog to model aeroplane flying; the fields are the place to come and take in the diverse landscape of open grassland, woods, river banks heath and hedgerows.
In 2012 two public meetings were held to discuss the future of the Holders Lane & Pebble Mill Fields area.
It was clear from these meetings that the community wants to preserve this green space at its heart and to influence what happens here.
Local councillors have made a commitment to take account of the views of local residents and not to make any decisions about the fields before local residents and users of the fields have been heard.
Our latest project is concerning the pavilion that has fallen into disuse by Holders Lane Woods. At the end of last year we were successful in obtaining a grant from Awards for All (Big Lottery Fund) for the pavilion, you can read more about the project here.
