Great path clearing on 3 November

You may have seen the photos from our Twitter account of the hard work being done on Sunday 3 November on the Brockley Grove site (furthest end from Canon Hill Park, close to Moor Green / Dogpool Lane Junction).

Volunteers concentrated  on the access path running up towards Donkey’s Hollow, which was considered a priority activity by the park rangers due to the path becoming very overgrown.  With considerable effort, half of this path has now been widened by cutting back brambles, branches and overgrown grasses etc. Volunteers also cut back the encroaching turf which had in parts reduced the path to half its original width.

Volunteers also litter-picked in the immediate area and cut back overhanging branches all the way up into the woods.

Well done to all the volunteers taking part, including: Lesley & John, Linda, Joe, Pete & Fiona, Katie, Phil, Carey and especially to Helen & Ian who organised the work.
